Mike is an award-winning director and scriptwriter, with experience across brand films, corporate, documentary and shorts. With a keen sense of narrative and a distinct visual aesthetic, Mike’s brought ideas to life for brands like Mondelez, EY, SSE, BP, Vodafone, Lexus, NHS & Sky Arts. Mike’s speciality is analysing complex data and strategies, to draw out the themes and human stories contained within. When not working, he loves music, film and the outdoors
Katie Clarke joins us fresh from college as a digital marketing apprentice. When she’s not tapping into Twitter, creating on Canva or having fun with Facebook, you’ll find Katie teaching youngsters as an award-winning cheerleading coach in her spare time. Katie’s social media skills are a welcome boost to By This River and will help us bring more insight to this rapidly changing landscape.
Toffee & Fizz
While they’re still brushing up on their comms skills, Fizz and Toffee prefer to spend most of the working day snoozing on their beds, except when we eat our lunch. Both rescues, the hounds have become more famous around Shepperton Studios than the rest of the team (something’s gone wrong there! - ed).
Wendy has been editing and writing magazines since primary school, and now ghost writes blogs, media columns and social media content. On the PR side Wendy works across both consumer and B2B communications, contacting everyone from local newspapers to glossy magazines in order to help clients reach the audiences they want. Away from work, Wendy’s preferred location is the outdoors whether on the river, walking through a city or working in the garden.
Sue keeps a close eye on the numbers, takes the strain on the VAT returns and ensures our books are in order. Having trained as an accountant with one of the City’s leading firms, Sue has since gained experience with a wide range of businesses ranging from sole-traders to multi-million pound enterprises. When not working, Sue is normally found at an archery club somewhere supporting her squad of young shots.
