Dawes Highway Safety - Product launch
Dawes Highway Safety hired By This River to help it launch a brand new device designed to prevent cyclists from falling under the rear wheels of lorries and being seriously injured or killed as a result.
With a complex number of stakeholders to reach - from cycling campaigners to construction firms - By This River worked with Dawes Highway to map out the stakeholder landscape before coming up with a communications strategy.
When its first customer, construction firm Keltbray agreed to trial the new device in London, By This River collaborated with Keltbray’s press office to maximise the PR potential of the story.
The new device fitted to a tipper lorry toured the capital meeting with the different stakeholders at several locations. Our client was kept in the loop at all times and notified in real-time of changes to the schedule as he took part in the live launch. The launch resulted in coverage in the Evening Standard among others and sales enquiries to both companies.
